The inner motivation for entering

The inner motivation for entering any activity needs to be to get to KNOW and Love God. God has been showing us that much of modern “missions” has been off in its motivation. Bringing His People out of egypt was not about getting them to the promised Land-that was secondary…it was about drawing those people to Him. If we are motivated by taking something to other nations-rather than actually getting to know Him more, we won’t stand well. Even the study of missiology or any other field of study is always to be about getting to know Him-a field of study is the means, getting to know Him is the end. So this summer we have severl means-one is pilgrimage with The Jones, another is scouting cities, another is touring with Bryce and Sam-but these are just means, the temporary frame God uses to draw us into Him!
