“Send forth your Light and your Truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your holy mountain.”
We often wonder how to get up the mountain. People ask, how can we live from heaven down? How can we shift from visiting God on special occasions, to a lifestyle of being in Him.
And, here it is: His Light–ie His Presence; and His Truth–ie His Word (both written and what He is speaking now through His Spirit). The gate to heaven is Jesus Himself– both His Presence and His Word.
In this coming season, the externals will shake even more, and it will be even more essential that we know how we enter and remain in His Kingdom. This verse has two keys. Each of us then has to ask, how do I personally enter Christ’s Presence, and how to I touch His Word.
